1 It might be toxic fungus flying in the mist, which causes the victims to die painfully...
2 There might be some kind of beast hiding in the mist.
Could
1 It could be some extraterrestrial object..
2 It could be the Holy Ghost, which is cleanin the Earth from the insane human race...
Can’t
1 It can't be the Holy Ghost...
2 I'm serious, it can't be the archangels neither.....
D. What would you do if you were the woman who needed to go into the mist in order to rescue her eight year-old daughter?
What i would do is resing to my fate and my daughter's, and if the pain is too much for me, commit suicide.

2. There might be some protected people who kill the unprotected due to the infection caused by the mist.
Could
1. The possible acid in the mist could be able to burn the human skin.
2. A mutant being could produce the mist so as not to be seen by others.
Can´t
1. It can't be a normal being the one who kills everyone who enters the mist.
2.It can't be a baby or a butterfly the one in the mist. I'm sure.
D. I'm totally sure I wouldn't let my daughter die in the mist and be able to keep living. Obviously, I would go after her with some kind of defesive thing with me.
